The Virginia Innovation Partnership Corporation is organizing the Virginia Pavilion - VEDP, Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, the Loudoun County Economic Development Authority, the New River Valley Economic Development Alliance, and the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority will also be there to market our state to members of the unmanned systems industry as the ideal place to locate their manufacturing and business operations.

It was an incredible evening onboard the iconic Battleship Wisconsin! The Hampton Roads Alliance, alongside the Hampton Roads Workforce Council and the Government of South Australia, brought together a dynamic gathering of Hampton Roads business leaders and defense-related companies from Australia for a reception after visiting Hampton Roads for a couple days. From fostering partnerships to sharing insights, it was a fantastic opportunity to delve into the vibrant defense and maritime industry supporting AUKUS. Thank you City of Norfolk Government, Norfolk Department of Development, and Nauticus for hosting us!

For 130 years, Sentara Healthcare has lived its mission to improve health every day, and this is clearly seen by the impact made in Hampton Roads and Virginia as a whole. The total economic impact of Sentara in Virginia exceeds $10 billion. Sentara supports more than 64,400 jobs, making it the 4th largest employer in the state of Virginia.

Sentara is headquartered in the Hampton Roads region, in Norfolk, Virginia. Regionwide, Sentara operates seven hospitals. Those hospitals house 1,700+ hospital beds which represent more than 40% of the region’s staffed bed capacity.

The industry also benefits from the support of a variety of research and academic institutions like NASA Langley Research Center, Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility, the Hampton University Proton Therapy Institute, Tidewater Community College’s Health Professions Center, and Virginia Tech Center Research Park.
